Actiunea acestui film se petrece in scoala Sfanta Teresa, care este una dintre cele mai de prestigiu institutii academice din India. In fiecare an, fetele si baietii de la Sf. Teresa concureaza pentru titlul de „Studentul anului”. Au loc trei concursuri, iar elevul care va avea cel mai mare punctaj la final va fi castigator. Povestea noastra incepe cu doi baieti, Abhi si Rohan, care se cunosc la liceu, in anul terminal. In curand, gasca lor se va extinde, unindu-se cu gasca Shanayei si a prietenelor sale. Acestia au devenit cu totii prieteni foarte apropiati si se pare ca nimic nu-i poate desparti pana cand lucrurile se intorc pe dos, pentru ca Ashi si Shanaya se indragostesc exact atunci cand incepe cometitia. Prieteniile sunt incercate, pasiunea creste, iar „Studentul anului” ajunge la un punct culminant interesant.
